Four Golden Globes for Bowdoin Alum Kary Antholis '84 Project

John Adams, the seven-part HBO miniseries about the life of the second U.S. president and whose production was overseen by HBO Films executive Kary Antholis '84, won four awards at the 66th Annual Golden Globes, presented January 11, 2009.

The historical drama won for best mini-series, best actress (Laura Linney), best actor (Paul Giamatti) and best supporting actor (Tom Wilkinson). Antholis, who is HBO Films president, miniseries, was the executive in charge of the production of John Adams.

He and David McCullough, upon whose Pulitzer Prize-winning biography the miniseries was based, came to Bowdoin in March 2008 for a debut screening in Pickard Theater.
